Title

The twelfth fragrance of the monolithic UNUM collection, wants to address the emotion of emotions: fear, starting, almost as per tradition, drawing inspiration from the extract of the Gospel of Matthew that tells the parable of the ten virgins, from which the name is also chosen; the story of the women who, prudently, put aside the oil to fuel their lamps, at the moment of the groom's arrival. We know that of the ten women only five - defined as prudent - will participate in the wedding feast, the others, going to look for oil for their lamps, will find the door closed. "Lord, open to us", they will say upon their arrival receiving in response: "Truly I say to you, I do not know you". We also know that, while waiting, they also fell asleep, ready however to wake up and prepare to rejoice at the groom's arrival: "watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour", we read in Matthew.
But this is only the beginning. In reality, the idea is to go further beyond the evangelical words to face fear in a more intense and profound way, where even contrasting emotions are placed, undergoing the seductive charm of danger, an “amor fati” as Nietzsche claimed, in any case the presence of the uncontrolled. This element marks horror literature and not only, and it is exactly the dominion of the uncontrolled over us. Yet fear always needs something else to be such: not a lack of courage, but rather the presence of what we most desire. What remains the highest aspiration for the majority of men, is also the harbinger of trouble. It is freedom.
And the perfume deepens the idea of destruction and voluntary silence and the introspection necessary to dig into the basin of the most remote existence of the skin.
But controlling fear generates attraction towards it, even experiencing pleasure towards a sought-after, desired and controlled fear.

In fact, man is enveloped in a horrific fate, and our society, with violent mass homologations, wants to stun itself and deny the truth, that is, Being-towards-death.
Only in this way does man become the self in his most deaf and dark shadow and manifest his true nature, made of contradictions and desires. In the face of fear, primordial needs of apparent disorder are generated, also made of dormant, hidden and dangerous eroticism, making the impossible possible.

The packaging, strictly adhering to the UNUM collection, this time is closed by a cold transparent film and a silver label. The bottle, also silver, is instead placed in a “deaf” black velvet bag, sealed by a heat-shrink sheath, which must be physically cut using the metal scissors found inside the box.

In front of life, in a planet of fragile, after the religious fall into the kingdom of dust, lost every safe reference, man is inextricably linked to fear forced to wander in the nocturnal sides of the soul, and inside that room perceive as a dim light that materializes a deformation of the limbs, stopping and sharing monstrous things that intend to eat respectability, feeling pleasure by suffocating souls, making accounts no longer on the balance sheets of life but with a form of salvation increasingly distant.
